Sandstone Quarry Development
Wardell Armstrong has provided comprehensive advice to Buccleuch on the development of sandstone quarries across its Queensberry Estate. The estate is keen to diversify its income streams where possible and has several sites which could be worked for building stone purposes. Wardell Armstrong has assessed the quality of the mineral and the likelihood of securing planning permission on a number of sites as well as advise on lease terms. In two cases, using our network of industry contacts we introduced prospective operators and supervised a tender process for the estate.
