World Town Planning Day 2023
8th November marks World Town Planning Day when planners and communities across the world come together to celebrate how good planning can improve the lives of people and benefits society, creating places to live, work and play together. This year’s theme is ‘Learn Globally, Apply Locally’ and focusses on the value of learning from planning and different planning cultures globally, developing innovative, sustainable and equitable solutions to address global challenges.
Planners around the world are at the forefront of the challenge to tackle climate change and are doing so in a variety of ways. Some of the work that Wardell Armstrong is doing to support clients and secure planning permission on a variety of renewable energy developments across the UK is key to supporting the transition to a low carbon future and contributing towards energy security. Wardell Armstrong is proud to have been carbon neutral since April 2020.
Our dedicated and experienced team of Planning and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) specialists located in our offices across the UK have successfully secured planning permission for a number of exciting and sustainable projects, with many more projects in the process of being prepared for submission. Through our multi-disciplinary environmental planning team, which includes ecology, air quality, landscape architecture, arboriculture and soils, and with support from our dedicated energy and climate change specialists, we provide a one-stop shop for clients in delivering robust planning applications and securing planning permission for these essential developments.
