Associate Director, Dr Matthew Hobson, and Technical Director Frank Giecco recently appeared on What Lies Beneath on ITV News.
Matthew talks about the Roman cremation cemetery in Carlisle where our archaeologists excavated beneath the city centre. The finds showed us an important study of burials and identity in the region. Frank talks about the finds that have been unearthed at the Cricket Club excavations as part of ‘Uncovering Roman Carlisle’, an award-winning project that we have been supporting since 2017.
