Wardell Armstrong Archaeological Acquisition Boosts Expansion
Multi-disciplinary environmental, engineering and mining consultancy Wardell Armstrong has acquired the business and assets of Archaeological Solutions Ltd, an independent archaeological practice providing services to both public and private sector clients nationwide from their offices in East Anglia and Bedfordshire.
The move is part of Wardell Armstrong’s plans to grow its existing archaeological and heritage team and expand services in the UK and Internationally. This now makes Wardell Armstrong one of the UK’s largest suppliers of archaeological services.
Archaeological Solutions is a 40 strong practice based out of East Anglia and Bedfordshire with an excellent long-standing reputation for delivering archaeological services to a wide range of sectors including minerals, property and infrastructure.
“We have worked extensively with Archaeological Solutions over recent years” says Keith Mitchell, Wardell Armstrong’s Managing Director. “We are two like-minded businesses and coming together gives us a great opportunity to collectively strengthen and develop our offer in archaeological services. It also strategically expands our geographical base in the UK. We are delighted to welcome Archaeological Solutions into the Wardell Armstrong fold.”
Archaeological Solutions’s management team including Directors Claire Halpin and Tom McDonald will join Wardell Armstrong. “This is an exciting time for us” says Claire. “We have joined forces with Wardell Armstrong on a number of projects in recent years which has worked very successfully. The acquisition of Archaeological Solutions increases Wardell Armstrong’s network of UK and international offices to fifteen.
