The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch 2019
The RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch is the world’s largest garden wildlife survey. This year, the survey took place over a long weekend from Saturday 26th to Monday 28th January.
Teams from our Bolton, Cardiff, Carlisle, Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Stoke and Head Office took part in the survey yesterday by taking their lunch break in the fresh air at a local park or green space and recording the birds that they saw. Our ecology teams provided binoculars and shared their more in-depth knowledge of birds with the rest of our service areas.
Collectively, we recorded over 140 bird sightings that will contribute towards the overall data for the RSPB which helps to inform important national population trends.
