We’re highly experienced in providing an integrated service as project managers, co-ordinating and managing the complex crossover issues of bid strategy, technology selection, facility design, engineering support, contract performance, financial and waste flow modelling, sustainability, planning, permitting and project delivery.
We provide Construction (Design and Management) Principal Designer services to our waste sector clients and advise on many other health and safety functions including risk assessment, safe systems of work, NEBOSH training, hazard and operability studies (HAZOPS) and management systems audits etc. to help the owners and operators to comply with their statutory duties.
Our waste site audits help ‘duty holders’ to identify workplace hazards and risks and implement health and safety control measures that are robust and practical, e.g. the safe disposal of asbestos containing materials and other hazardous waste materials. During site audits we critically analyse the expected behaviours exhibited by safe and healthy workplaces including the proper segregation of pedestrian and vehicle traffic routes, record keeping of buried services and equipment, noise and dust control, occupational health screening, training and competence, use of personal protective equipment, and fire and emergency arrangements etc. We work closely with our waste clients to embed and promote ownership and management commitment and help to ensure that their places of work are legally health and safety compliant.
Our experience of waste and water treatment facility design, procurement and construction has equipped our teams with the knowledge of a wide variety of treatment technology from around the world. We have undertaken detailed feasibility studies and technology reviews of Energy from Waste technologies including advanced gasification and pyrolysis systems, Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) equipment ranging between 100k and 400k tonnes per annum, Anaerobic Digestion and MBT systems and a wide range of wastewater and effluent treatment systems.
Our process and electrical engineering skills mean we can offer advice on technology integration in new and existing facilities. We offer expert advice and due diligence services to cover all aspects of waste treatment and management.
