The Regulatory Support Team continues to provide high quality expert witness support to a range of clients, including the public and private sectors. Senior members of the Regulatory Support team each bring circa 20 years’ experience of the waste industry from both regulator and industry roles, allowing us to provide insight on the regulator’s approach whilst understanding the operator’s pressures.
We always work closely with you and the regulator to minimise the potential for situations to escalate beyond a conversation. However, should you find yourself in the unfortunate situation where you are subject to prosecution we are experienced in the preparation of clear and concise court reports which define the issues and provide robust opinions. We are also confident and experienced in providing oral evidence under examination.
The Regulatory Support Team comprises environmental permitting experts with extensive experience of permitting, both for the Waste Industry and for other Part A and Part B activities. If you need to apply for a new environmental permit or want to vary, transfer or surrender an existing one we will provide support to secure the required outcome.
Identifying the most practical approach we produce high quality applications that are written clearly and give the regulator the confidence to determine the application. Working closely with you and our own specialists in air quality, noise, and planning our highly experienced project teams can secure regulatory approval for all types of facility.
We have built up considerable planning experience in the waste sector, working on projects large and small (both EIA and non-EIA), and with various technology solutions and multiple clients. We have planning teams located throughout the UK can therefore provide local knowledge and expertise wherever you work.
Our planning teams can identify planning risk and develop planning solutions that are proportionate to the risk and point you are in the process of working up a scheme. We can also help ensure that other members of the team are clear on what information is required to secure consent and to help navigate the planning and political landscape in order to maximise the chances of securing a planning permission.
Post consent, we can help you with the discharge of planning conditions, or if necessary, with variations to approved schemes. Should it be necessary we can also provide expert witness support for appeals/public inquiries.
