We have specific expertise in the design of earthworks schemes to provide road embankments and suitable development platforms to support a variety of end uses.
Our staff design and supervise detailed ground investigation to enable the preparation of earthworks specifications and contacts to provide a suitable end product. We have experience in undertaking settlement analyses and the design, supervision and monitoring of surcharge schemes.
Our engineers and geologists undertake quarry inspections and assessments in accordance with the Quarry Regulations. We undertake regular reviews and audits to ensure the safe operation of quarries and have strong relationships with operators and owners alike.

When developers receive ground investigation data, one of our important roles is to undertake a review of the information to determine whether more investigation is required, and if the investigation is suitable for the developer’s proposals.
Our appraisals can then extend to cover the extent of the ground investigation and undertake a review of foundation options and earthworks requirements. By undertaking these appraisals our staff are able to save costs on any further investigations whilst providing essential information to enable development costs to be assessed.
Our engineers are used to the design of forensic investigations to determine the cause of subsidence affecting a variety of structures and landforms.
We are able to use our experience to determine the likely cause of subsidence by utilising appropriate and often low impact techniques to assess ground conditions, drainage, water supplies and even the potential for mining related issues or dissolution of soluble rocks.
