Viridor Landfill Portfolio Aftercare Energy Strategy
Wardell Armstrong was commissioned to undertake a review of a portfolio of landfill sites on behalf of Viridor to assess their potential for renewable generation as part of the ongoing management and restoration process, once their useful life as active landfill sites comes to an end. Wardell Armstrong was provided with a list of candidate sites and undertook a geographical sift to prioritise those with the greatest technical potential and least physical constraints. Analysis also accounted for the proximity of utilities infrastructure. Once prioritised, top-ranking sites were assessed in more detail to assist the Client shortlist viable projects to take forward.
