Tresham Garden Village
Wardell Armstrong was commissioned to develop an integrated and innovative energy strategy for the proposed garden village at Denethorpe Airfield near Corby. In line with the ambitions of the Client, there was a planning requirement that the development should be an exemplar for sustainable development, maximising the use of energy efficiency and renewable generation to ensure that emissions from the development would be minimised and the project could be a pathfinder for other sustainable developments around the country. Various strategies were modelled to meet the energy demands of the residents while decarbonising where-ever possible, allowing the developer to select their preferred approach.
