St Andrews West Masterplan
Working closely with LBA architects, Wardell Armstrong collaboratively developed the masterplan for a new community on the edge of the historic town of St Andrews.
The design approach for the masterplan on the N6 plot was driven heavily by a landscape centred approach that focuses on people centred, positive places to live, play and work from home. The landscape and urban design moves were at the heart of the preparation of the proposals and care was taken to explore, analyse and create a design that is focused on people, place and sustainability.
Following a thorough pre-application process where the local authority were taken on a journey through the designs of this ambitious and forward thinking development, the site was granted planning approval and the first phase is now complete.
