Spaceport Cornwall Sustainability Strategy
Wardell Armstrong was commissioned to provide bespoke sustainability strategy to be submitted to the UK Space Agency.
The work used TCFD recommendations to quantify scope 1,2 & 3 emissions, as well as carbon offsetting, waste and recycling, transport, air quality, water use and flooding, effects on biodiversity, building design and layout, and public perception. An Ethical Plan was developed, providing Spaceport with a decision-making process to ensure launches and operations at the site align with the highest sustainability standards.
