Senegal Environmental and Social Due Diligence
Toro Gold’s Mako Project, located in the Kedougou region of Senegal is currently under construction with feasibility studies previously completed for the development.
Wardell Armstrong were engaged to conduct a Competent Persons Report, including Environmental and Social Due Diligence for AIM listing. The Project area is sensitive to both environmental and social risks due to its location between the River Gambia, utilised by the local community for a myriad of practices, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wardell Armstrong were able to review the environmental and social liabilities of the Project and the environmental and social management plans in place to confirm Toro Gold’s continued commitment to national and international standards.
