Residential Development, Botley Road
Wardell Armstrong have been involved in this project from the initial conception through to detailed design. We assisted the land developers in gaining outline planning approval through an appeal, and are working with a house builder to develop a marketable layout.
The site is difficult in noise terms, at is flanked to the north and east by the M27 motorway which has a concrete surface where it passes the site. For the outline application a noise bund and potential housing layout were developed to show that the site was suitable for residential development. More recently we have worked with the house builder to develop the layout into a marketable scheme. This has involved close correspondence with the local authority to ensure that good amenity can be achieved in all areas of the proposed dwellings.
