Mixed-use Development, Chapel Walks
The proposals are for a mixed use residential development split over three buildings in central Manchester. The ground floors and basement consist of entertainment and commercial premises, some of which are outside of the control of the client.
Wardell Armstrong had been instructed to undertake an assessment of the existing structure in terms of noise transmission, to prepare a design for the proposed separating floors and walls to meet Building Regulations and local authority requirements. The building has had a number of uses historically, and incorporates a number of different structures. Therefore a separate design was required for each proposed separating structure. Special attention was required for the existing private karaoke room to the basement.
