Killoch Energy Recovery Park
Wardell Armstrong successfully gained planning permission in 2017 for Barr Environmental Limited’s proposed state of the art energy from waste facility, a £60 million investment which will manage 120,000 tonnes per annum of household waste through a materials recycling facility and energy recovery gasification facility.
Wardell Armstrong project managed the full planning submission, supporting Barr in all aspects of the development of the proposals, including the Environmental Impact Assessment, the iterative design process and public consultation. Following submission of the application, we provided technical advice throughout the determination period including liaison with key stakeholders such as SEPA to secure approval at planning committee.
We continue to support Barr in taking the project forward to construction, managing the discharge of planning conditions process.
