Hadleigh Landfill
To obtain a permit for an inert landfill a Hydrogeological Risk Assessment (HRA) was required to support the application. Review of the data available for the Site identified uncertainites regarding the depth of the groundwater. Wardell Armstrong designed a hydrogeological investigation to dovetail with the already proposed geotechnical investigation to save the client time and money.
The results of the hydrogeological investigation were used to identify the depth of the groundwater, identify aquifer units and develop the Conceptual Site Model (CSM). LandSim models were then created to reflect this CSM and determine limits for the permit application.
