Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, Iron Ore Project, Guinea
Wardell Armstrong is carrying out an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) on one of the world’s largest iron ore deposits. We developed the social and environmental baseline studies and impact assessment in alignment with the IFC. This included site visits to engage with the local population and pioneer mining camp workers. The studies specifically focus on artisanal mining, cumulative impacts, GBVH context, potential resettlement, biodiversity and hydrology.
