Chaarat Environmental and Social Impact Assessment

Wardell Armstrong International were commissioned to undertake a full Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Management Plans and Gap Analysis to International Finance Corporation Performance Standards for Chaarat, as part of the feasibility studies. Wardell Armstrong International managed the ESIA process and worked alongside in-country social and environmental contractors to conduct the baseline collection.
Wardell Armstrong International assisted Chaarat across the entire ESIA process, particularly in regard to the collection of the social baseline, where WAI staff conducted household interviews and provided training for Chaarat staff. The findings of the ESIA were presented by WAI to the community to finalise the Project and comply to international standards.
