Bargeddie Residual Material Recycling Facility
Dispersion modelling was undertaken to consider the potential effects of fine particulate matter and odour associated with proposed environmental improvements to a consented residual Materials Recycling Facility (rMRF) at an existing recycling hub. Fine particulate matter and odour concentrations were modelled at the closest sensitive receptors to the site, and were compared against relevant Air Quality Objectives and benchmark levels. The model results enabled an appropriate stack height to be determined to allow the adequate dispersion of fine particulate matter and odour, thus ensuring no further mitigation was needed. The planning application was subsequently approved by the local authority.
