Aviemore Hospital
Wardell Armstrong’s landscape team is proud to have recently delivered a new community hospital in Aviemore. The hospital provides a diverse range of services and health care functions to the communities they serve.
The chosen hospital site came with significant ecological sensitivities due to its location within the Cairngorms and its immediate surroundings. This was dealt with sensitively within the landscape designs, which sought to bring the wider landscape context through the hospital site – creating a series of spaces which promote outdoor activity and use.
The team worked closely with both the architects, engineers and Balfour Beatty to overcome site challenges which resulted in a cohesive and well-considered new hospital for the community.
