Our Survey Team Take to the Skies!
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) such as Drones are an extremely powerful survey tool to provide time-effective and highly detailed outputs while mitigating site safety concerns.
Our fleet of Multi-rotor and Fixed Wing Drones can provide fast and efficient aerial data capture over large areas in a short space of time. This makes Drones a great option for large scale topographic or route corridor surveys and volumetric and change analysis on large construction, quarry, and landfill sites.
Wardell Armstrong can apply the latest in drone technology to benefit your next project. Our UAV team have the training and authorization required from the Civil Aviation Authority to conduct commercial operations. We can also negotiate access into restricted and controlled airspaces where required.
One of the major benefits of drones is their use in inspection surveys where access is difficult, hazardous, or dangerous such as landslides, unstable buildings or structures and high-rise buildings. The operator can be stationed at a safe location while the video feed is shared to on-site specialists, or engineers back in the office.
We can produce deliverables to suit your project’s requirements including Terrain models, crystal clear, georeferenced aerial imagery and 3D point clouds using Photogrammetric or LiDAR techniques for use in mapping, planning or volumetric analysis. We can also provide high quality 4K video footage and 45MP still photography for engineering inspections and monitoring.
