Forge Lane Competes in Construction Rocks!
For the second year running, Wardell Armstrong’s house band ‘Forge Lane’ competed against bands from the property industry, and in front of 600+ people, at ‘Construction Rocks’ last night.
Forge Lane, from our Stoke Office, is made up of Keith Mitchell, Managing Director on rhythm guitar, Adam Burnham, Technical Director and Head of Civil & Structural Engineering at our Stoke Office, on lead guitar, Sue Roberts PA to the Managing Director on vocals, Andrew Durber, Principal Civil Engineer on bass guitar and Bryn Griffiths, Senior Environmental Scientist on drums.
The charitable event was held at Scala, Kings Cross in London, which has previously hosted the likes of The Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Sheryl Crow, The Killers and Bastille.
Since it’s conception in 2007, Construction Rocks has raised over £110,000 for several charities and it has become an important event in the construction industry calendar.
The band donned novelty wigs for each song, with their set list including the following:
Everlong, The Foo Fighters
Ever Fallen in Love, The Buzzcocks
Shake it off, Taylor Swift
Johnny be Good, Chuck Berry
