Energy from Waste

Energy from Waste

As our population grows, so does the amount of waste we produce and our demand for energy. Although we're recycling more, there's still a need to dispose of what's left - and converting these leftovers into energy wherever feasible makes perfect sense. So how do you choose the right technology to work with your waste streams, in a way that meets regulations and makes economic sense?

Capturing the gas from landfills is no longer an option as landfill development declines due to environmental regulations. Incineration with heat recovery using steam turbines remains an option - but more efficient and environmentally friendly methods such as advanced thermal treatment are now available.

You can count on our wide experience - including working with waste companies, project developers and technology suppliers in implementing gasification, pyrolysis, plasma arc, anaerobic digestion and conventional energy from waste systems. We can support every stage of your project, from site and waste stream identification to technology selection, project feasibility and financial appraisal, environmental impact assessment, planning and permitting, civils, and acting as client's engineer during procurement and construction.
