Platina Resources – Greenland

Platina Resources Limited is an international resource company with a global portfolio of precious and specialty metal projects. They needed an updated mineral resource estimate for their Skaergaard Gold & Platinum Group Metal Au-Fe-Ti deposit on the east coast of Greenland, one of the world’s most exciting emerging mineral provinces.

We were commissioned by Platina to prepare their updated mineral resource estimate in accordance with the guidelines of the new JORC Code (2012), together with a competent person’s report. The update was successfully completed and contained within the company’s ASX announcement in July 2013.

The new resource estimate confirms that Greenland and the Skaergaard project have one of the world's largest palladium resources outside of South Africa and Russia. Mineralisation outcrops at surface, and extends to over 1.1km vertical depth. More than 35,000m of diamond drilling has been completed, delineating an indicated and inferred mineral resource of 203Mt @ 0.88g/t gold & 1.33g/t palladium (1.66g/t AuEq at a 1.0g/t AuEq cut-off grade).
