Philip King has
25 years of minerals processing experience ranging from laboratory testwork and
pilot plant operations through to plant commissioning, operations and
trouble-shooting. He also has experience in the technical and
financial evaluation of many mining projects through the
completion of both pre-feasibility and feasibility studies. He has been involved
in process design and engineering studies, equipment selection, and capital and
operating cost estimates.
Phil has participated in a number of
multi-disciplinary projects throughout CIS, Africa and Europe involving base
metals, precious metals, industrial
minerals and coal. He is currently engaged by Eurozinc in the re-engineering of
the Aljustrel and Neves Corvo mines in Portugal. He is also providing on-going
consultancy services for the Kapan and Agarak base metal mines in Armenia and
the Aguablancas Cu-Ni mine in Spain. He has undertaken numerous studies on South
American base metal ores and has
worked in the Mato Grosso Province of Brazil on a gold project.
Phil is responsible for WAI’s minerals
processing laboratory and pilot plant business and has extensive
experience in all aspects of the testing of gold, base metal sulphide ores and
industrial minerals.
