New One Stop Health
Centre at Shavington, Crewe |
| Works have officially started for the
proposed development of a One Stop Health Centre on Rope Lane, Shavington in
Crewe.
Wardell Armstrong have been appointed by
Sapphire Primary Care Developments Ltd to act as
Structural and Civil Engineers as
well as Transport Consultants for this
project. This project is the first of a number of similar projects
(approximately 10) upon which Wardell Armstrong have been commissioned, to date
by Sapphire Primary Care Developments Ltd |

Brooklands Medical Practice, Central Cheshire Primary Care Trust and P Williams
Pharmacy, all of whom will be located at the site, will manage the new facility
at Shavington.
The aim is to develop a long-term
partnership between local health and social care organisations and the private
sector to provide improved, modern premises for local general practice,
community health services and outpatient clinics to serve local communities. The
project will achieve the amalgamation of services from several sites in the
Crewe area onto a single site to serve the local Shavington, Wistaston and
Willaston area. This initiative forms part of the government’s 10 Year Plan
(2000) to modernise and reform the NHS.

Doctors and staff who will work from this new facility, at the official site
commencement ceremony held on 31 July 2006. It is expected that the new facility
will be completed in the summer of 2007. |
