The RICS Scotland Awards recognise the best of the
built environment across four categories: building conservation, community
benefit, regeneration and sustainability.
The museum, owned by the National Trust
Scotland, underwent a two-year programme of refurbishment. The
Structural Engineering element of the project was undertaken by
Wardell Armstrong LLP, Edinburgh Office.
The project was one of 28 entries put forward
for the award and following it’s success will now be entered for a worldwide
award, the outcome of which will be announced on the 20th October in
London, at a ceremony hosted by Kevin McCloud – presenter of Channel 4’s
Grand Designs. |
