Michael is Regional Director of Head Office in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, with a broad range of experience in research, site investigation and land remediation relating to mining, geotechnical, contamination and waste problems. Michael has acted as an Expert Witness in planning inquiries and arbitration and has prepared evidence for the High Court. His experience has been called upon in the fields of mining subsidence, treatment of shallow mine workings, hydrogeology, coal stocking, landfill gas control and slope stability.

He has a degree in Engineering Geology and Geotechnics and a Diploma in Management Studies. He is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Materials, Minerals and Mining and Member of the Association of Geotechnical Specialists. He is also a Member of the Institute of Management.
