Brightenber Windfarm Planning Appeal

Brightenber Windfarm Planning Appeal

We represented Craven District Council following the appeal of a decision notice for a five turbine wind farm at Brightenber Hill, near Skipton. We provided evidence in relation to planning issues, landscape and visual amenity issues and effects upon cultural heritage.

This included the effects on heritage receptors; Steeling Hill Prehistoric Enclosure Scheduled Ancient Monument, Gledstone Hall Grade II and Ingthorpe Hall Grade II. Impacts were also assessed on views from properties, footpaths and open access land.

The inspector dismissed the appeal largely on the amenity impacts on neighbouring properties.
