Design Policy Formulation

The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 has placed much greater emphasis on the role of Urban Design in the Planning System.  A more spatial and dynamic significance is now placed on the development of policies, including a focus on local community involvement. The expectation is that design policies will be evident at all levels of the Local Development Framework (LDF) process including core policies and other Local Development Documents, Area Action Plans and supplementary/technical documents such as Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). We can deliver this expectation.
