Wardell Armstrong successfully promoted a greenfield adjacent to a conservation area site through the Vale of Glamorgan Local Development Plan process which led to the site being allocated in the Deposit Plan and ultimately to a successful detailed planning application for 120 high quality residential units in this sought after site on the edge of the rural village of Bonvilston and surrounded by Cottrell Park Golf Course. We led on early negotiations with senior figures in the LPA, and developed a strategy based on high quality design and off site highway improvements. Wardell Armstrong were involved closely in providing planning and development advice to the landowners and for the planning application we led on all elements of the Environmental Impact Assessment including co-ordination, ecology, noise, soils, archaeology and heritage, conservation, ground engineering and arboriculture. Wardell Armstrong are currently working on a range of development packages within a proposed masterplan for the owners wider land holdings, inclydiing uses such as proposed 120 bid luxury hotel and spa, retirement home, extra care home and holiday village uses.
