BDW Trading - Brookhay villages and Twin Rivers Park

BDW Trading - Brookhay villages and Twin Rivers Park

An ambitious and imaginative plan is taking shape in Staffordshire. Led by BDW Trading (including Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes and Ward Homes), it envisages an infrastructure-led regeneration and strategic sustainable development of up to 7500 homes, up to three million square feet of mixed commercial use, and a water sports centre.

A cross-boundary development in Lichfield district and East Staffordshire Borough, the plans include a residential development of five villages under "garden city" principles, hotels, offices, research and development hubs, two new rail stations, a parkway and a halt. The project is part of the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP's "going for growth" strategy.

We've been commissioned as part of the project delivery team to deal with planning and environmental promotion of the site - with the aim of being at planning application stage by mid 2014. Our first involvement is to prepare an EIA scoping request in advance of the environmental statement which will support the hybrid planning application.
